Factory farm animal abuse is one of the worst types of animal cruelty. Learn what goes on in the commerical meat and dairy industry and what you can do about it!
The videos below explain and show what happens to cattle at factory farms. They are not exaggerations, or unique examples. What you are about to see is common practice. I have witnessed this myself.
If you don't consume meat or dairy products - this includes eggs, yogurt, cottage cheese, cheese, egg nog, ice cream, and all processed foods with added milk and eggs - from commercial sources, then please do not watch these videos. It is negative and energetically harmful to watch.
However, if you do consume these products, then please watch the videos, and afterwards....
Make a conscious choice not to participate in this horror anymore.
We at Gaia- Back To The Garden, are not against consuming meat and dairy products that are raised on small, responsible, humane, free-range farms. These can be found all over the U.S., and I'm sure there are sources in other countries as well.
Yes, it is more expensive. Factory farming is the cheap way to go. That's why they do it the way they do, but is it worth it?
These animals are suffering - badly. They are being tortured...
If you cannot afford the higher priced, organic, free range foods, would you be willing to buy it anyway, but in lesser amounts? Or in other words, can you do with less of these animal products in your diet so that you can afford the more expensive, more humanely produced food?
We can't wait for "them" to do something about this. They haven't yet, and they won't be able to. The commercial food businesss will always find ways to get around the laws.
As it is now, there are businesses out there calling themselves free range farms, who are guilty of farm animal abuse. In their case, "free range" might only mean 15 min per day. The laws that have been passed to prevent farm animal abuse, are not much help at all.
Cattle are fattened up, prior to slaughter, by being fed large amounts of GMO corn. Contrary to popular belief, corn is not the natural food for cattle. Cattle are meant to eat grass, and when they are fed corn in feed lots, it causes them all kinds of illness, hence the need for all of the antibiotics and vaccines that these cattle are given.
The farming of GMO corn is causing an enormous amount of pollution because it requires the use of toxic industrial chemicals, not to mention that the GMO varieties are taking over the natural ones.
Cattle ranching is causing other problems as well. The wild mustangs are being rounded up, and slaughtered regularly to make room for more cattle. The rain forests are diminishing rapidly for the same reason. If you are wanting to know how to save the wild horses, stop buying commercial beef. Buy it instead from free-range organic farms, and try to eat less of it. Eat more of other kinds of meats.
There are many who defend factory farms, and common myths that deny the abuse and pollution created by them.
The people who are defending factory farms are of two kinds - those profiting from them, and citizens who have been told that it's all the creation of environmentalist wackos who want to take away all of their "rights".
The defense of factory farms is all rooted in fear. The fear of losing money and the fear of losing so-called "rights". None of it is rooted in truth.
If you are thinking that your actions make no difference in the larger scheme of things, please think again...
We will never be able to get the entire population to agree to stop animal abuse all at once. The only way that something can be done about this, is if each of us makes a personal choice to stop doing it. Eventually, we will make a difference. Just take the step and trust.
Please, stop factory farm animal cruelty and abuse.
